Our selection of coffins comprises traditional designs in solid and veneered wood and modern, enviromentally-friendly alternatives. Some designs are suitable for cremation only, some for burial only and some can be used for either. It is not permitted to use metal in coffins for cremation and so any external fittings (handles, nameplates etc.) are normally made of electro-brassed plastic. Coffins for burial need metal fittings as the lowering webs will be placed through the handles. The 'Somerset' coffin, all our burial coffins and our woven eco coffins all have hand-painted nameplates.

The designs shown below make up our normal range but, if you wanted us to quote for something not illustrated, we would be happy to investigate for you.

The 'Sussex' coffin £229 (light oak) or £240 (golden oak) A light oak veneered coffin, suitable for cremation, polished, lined with white linings with ruffle and side sheets, and fitted with brassed furniture and engraved nameplate.

The 'Somerset' coffin £345 (light oak) or £335 (golden oak) A light or dark oak veneered coffin, suitable for cremation, with panelled sides, polished, lined with superior quality linings with ruffle and side sheets, and fitted with brassed furniture, wreath holders and hand-painted nameplate.

The 'Warwick' coffin £289 (veneered oak) or £723 (solid oak) A coffin for burial in a choice of light oak veneer or solid oak, polished, lined with white linings with ruffle and side sheets, and fitted with brassed furniture and hand-painted nameplate.

The 'Buckingham' coffin - £858 In solid oak with raised lid, lined with superior quality linings, ruffle and side sheets, and fitted with die-cast brassed furniture and hand-painted nameplate.

The 'Hertford' coffin - £1075 In solid oak with raised lid and panelled sides, lined with finest quality linings, ruffle and side sheets, and fitted with solid brass furniture and hand-painted nameplate.

The 'Balmoral' casket - £1,570 A solid oak casket with hinged raised lid, with finest-quality upholstered interior including ruched linings, ruff, pillow and quilt and fitted externally with solid brass furniture and hand-painted nameplate. We can also provide American-style solid wood and metal caskets with hinged lids - prices on application.

The 'Bamboo Eco' coffin - £397 A woven bamboo coffin made from 100 percent biodegradable, 100 per cent natural materials, with inner cotton lining and hand painted wooden name plate.

The 'Willow Eco' coffin - £530 A woven willow coffin made from 100 percent biodegradable, 100 per cent natural materials, with inner cotton lining and hand painted wooden name plate.

The 'Pandan' coffin - £515 A woven coffin made from 100 percent biodegradable, 100 per cent natural pandan or wild pineapple, with inner cotton lining and hand painted wooden name plate.

Contemporary Coffins
In partnership with our suppliers, Bradnams of Suffolk, we are pleased to be able to offer a range of modern, contemporary styled coffins.  Using a state-of-the-art printing technique, we can offer a wide range of images and designs printed directly onto the coffin.  The standard range includes animals and wildlife, hobbies and sports, religious and spiritual, humour and quirky, floral, military and patriotic, and scenic and outdoors.

The cost of a coffin from the standard contemporary range is £506.00.

Alternatively it is possible to create a design from scratch to your exact specification (price on application).

Our commitment to the environment
Throughout our range of coffins and caskets we will no longer offer solid mahogany or mahogany veneer coffins. We have sought, and received, assurances from our suppliers that the hardwood used in our oak veneer and solid oak coffins comes from a properly-managed forestry source.
